Magic Aire

It has a 1 hp pump and is a “tankless” design, intended to draw from your tank/reservoir, through the heat exchanger, then back out to your process or holding tank. This is an indoor chiller, with fluid setpoint range of 50°F to 90°F. Run and tested before shipping, and sold with money back guarantee. In most air conditioning systems geared for cooling, the principal refrigerant is chilled water.

Portable chillers are available in capacities from ¼ – 40 tons and supply process fluid between 20° – 70°F. Our goal is to provide innovative industrial cooling systems with excellent performance and high efficiency. When you consider that chillers are often one of the largest consumers of energy inside a building, their performance can have a huge impact on operational costs.

Discover everything you need to know about all the great products Bard offers – all right at your fingertips. Chiller temperature ranges from -10 to 100 °F (-12°C to 38°C). Can be used in any application where chillers and Temperature Control Units are used in tandem. Magic-Aire’s popular Belt Drive Horizontal air handler available in sizes 2 thru 20 ton with a wide variety of options. Magic Aire’s unit ventilators offer Best In Class damper mechanisms, wide application flexibility, and are now available in Self Contained configurations with Variable Speed compressor technology.

Water-cooled chillers incorporate the use of cooling towers which improve the chillers’ thermodynamic effectiveness as compared to air-cooled chillers. This is due to heat rejection at or near the air’s wet-bulb temperature rather than the higher, sometimes much higher, dry-bulb temperature. Evaporatively cooled chillers offer higher efficiencies than air-cooled chillers but lower than water-cooled chillers.

Given the annual temperature range in this area, the savings were readily apparent. Whenever the outside air temperature falls below 70 °F, the return chilled glycol solution is automatically diverted through the integrated Free Cooling coils of the chiller. These coils are located across the inlet-air side of the air-cooled condensers and use the condenser fans to pre-cool the return glycol. As the ambient temperature falls, the pre-cooling increases – until at approximately 20 °F below the supply glycol temperature – the chiller operates entirely without compressors. Everyone wants their energy systems to be energy efficient, but you should know that chiller efficiency is calculated differently between the different types.

This unit is 230 volt 3 phase, has an insulated stainless tank, is outdoor rated , and a 1.5hp process pump. If your application is low temp (28°F) and/or a brewery application, we will modify the chiller’s piping and controls/electrical to achieve 28°F glycol. Arrived at KIG in November 2018 was this 2014 Cold Shot Air Cooled Chiller. This unit is 230 volt 3 phase, has an insulated stainless tank, is outdoor rated , and has an upgraded 3.0 hp process pump. Arrived at KIG in December 2015 were three Zarsky / Cold Shot 5 ton Air Cooled Chillers.

The efficiencies of the two plant types puts the air-cooled chiller plant at a disadvantage when comparing the two. Depending on the size of chiller and type of chiller, the efficiency (kilowatts/ton) at full load varies. The requirements for chillers have become more stringent under newer versions of the International Energy Conservation Code .

Air passes through a coil of chilled liquid and the heat is transferred from the air to the chilled water. The chilled water is cycled through so that chilled water is always present as air comes through. If you are having heating and air installation in Loganville GA, this type of environmental temperature maintenance is the most common in offices, homes, and retail outlets. Industrial chillers are intended for numerical-controlled lathes, die-casting machines, lasers, foodstuff and medical apparatus, and plating process.

Most common today are the hermetic scroll, semi-hermetic screw, or centrifugal compressors. The condensing side of the chiller can be either air or water cooled. Even when liquid cooled, the chiller is often cooled by an induced or forced draft cooling tower.

The federal supply sources for energy-efficient products are the General Services Administration and the Defense Logistics Agency . GSA sells products through its Multiple Awards Schedules program and online shopping network, GSA Advantage!. DLA offers products through the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia and online through FedMall (formerly the U.S. Department of Defense eMALL). Products sold through DLA are codified with 13-digit National Stock Numbers and, in some cases, a two-letter Environmental Attribute Code . The ENAC identifies items that have positive environmental characteristics and meet standards set by an approved third party, such as FEMP.
